Awesome Dutton quality, value, & customers service make Dutton Inn a special Experience!

Dutton Inn

Dutton Inn

Millions were introduced to the Duttons’ talent, friendliness, and charisma as they rose to the top ten on Season 2 of the NBC prime time hit “America’s Got Talent.” They discovered what their fans, and Branson audiences, had experienced for years prior, and are still experiencing today at the Duttons show in Branson. What many don’t know however, is that the Dutton family owns the Dutton Inn, located just behind their theatre, which provides the lodging equivalent of what the Duttons show is to the highest quality in Branson entertainment.

During a recent interview with Belle Dutton, the beautiful wife of Jonathan Dutton, and one of the mangers of the Dutton Inn she said, “From check-in to check-out, we are dedicated to one thing, giving our guests a wonderful memorable lodging experience, filled with the friendliness and quality that reflects the Dutton’s values and standards. One that makes us proud to have our name on it.”

One of the Dutton Inn's tastefully appointed double queen rooms.

One of the Dutton Inn’s tastefully appointed double queen rooms.

The Inn has 76 tastefully appointed rooms, each with two queen sized beds and a full set of amenities. Each also “has a coffee pot, granite counter tops at the sink in bathroom, FREE Wi-Fi connection, flat screen TV, 60 cable channels, nightstand, lamps, dresser, table, chairs, microwave, mini-fridge, and free local calls. Hair dryers, irons, and ironing boards are available, by request, from the front desk at no additional charge.” Although it has no pool or game room the Inn is ideally located within a five to ten minute walk of White Water and just across the parking lot from Cici’s and its large game room.

Belle points out that staying at the Dutton Inn is more than just staying in one of the cleanest rooms in Branson. From that special Dutton family ambiance and spirit, to its excellent location, full family breakfast, unparalleled customer service, and the willingness to do all that is expected, “and then some,” to meet or exceed their guest’s expectations, staying at the Inn is an experience that will become a special part of your Branson visit.

In terms of location, the Dutton Inn is about as good as it gets. Tucked back near Green Mountain Drive, away from the noise and bustle of the Branson Strip, guests can conveniently enter and leave the Inn’s parking lot from either Highway 76 or Green Mountain Drive. This provides a number of ways to avoid the Highway 76 traffic in getting to destinations such as Silver Dollar City, Branson Landing, Historic Downtown Branson, Titanic, Table Rock Lake, and many others. Belle said the front desk personnel will be glad to advise guests on the best way to get where they are going.

Even better is the fact that guests are within a convenient five to ten minute walk from many of Branson’s shows, attractions and restaurants. Among others, these include White Water, the Branson Ferris Wheel, and the Track Family Fun Park, as well as shows such as the Duttons, SIX, AYO, “It” starring the Hughes Brothers, Forever Young, Liverpool Legends, and George Dyer as well as restaurants such as Cicis, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Shindigs, Dutton Deli, and many others.

She also pointed out that the Inn is a participant in the Branson Tourism Center’s (BTC) Lowest Rate Lock Guarantee Program. If you book your stay at the Dutton Inn through BTC, subject to the programs minimal conditions, the price you pay is guaranteed to be the lowest rate available. If you find a lower price offered for the same room on the same dates anytime between when you book your room and when you arrive in Branson, BTC will match the lower rate.

Belle emphasized her belief that when you combine the Dutton Inn quality, cleanliness, price, service, location, and the Lowest Rate Lock Guarantee, that not only is the Inn one of the best lodging values in Branson, but an experience that will become a wonderful part of your Branson memories. For additional information or reservations for the Dutton Inn please contact the Branson Tourism Center, one of Branson’s largest and most respected vacation planning services by calling 1-800-785-1550 or visiting www.BransonTourismCenter.com.

The Best of Branson June 2016 Insider Highlights

The "Amazing Pets Show" and "Silver Dollar City's Star Spangled Summer Festival," featuring the return of The Harlem Globetrotters, celebrating their 90th Anniversary, are two of the Branson Tourism Center's featured events for June.

The “Amazing Pets Show” and “Silver Dollar City’s Star Spangled Summer Festival,” featuring the return of The Harlem Globetrotters, celebrating their 90th Anniversary, are two of the Branson Tourism Center’s featured events for June.

“With school out and families coming to Branson for their vacations, there’s a special feeling in the air,” said Annette Wood, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Branson Tourism Center. “From Silver Dollar City on the west, to the boats of Main Street Lake Cruises at Branson Landing on the east, it’s filled with happy smiling families enjoying each other as they share the fun, excitement and adventure of sharing Branson memories that could last for a lifetime,” she added

Along with our highlight list, containing some of the best of what’s going on in Branson during June, here’s our Featured Show, Limited Engagement, and Event of the Month:

Featured Show of the Month: The whole family, especially the kids will love the Amazing Pets show featuring “more than 30 happy, well-trained critters performing a wide array of tricks” that’s a touch of magic, a bit of mayhem, and a whole lot of furry frivolity and fun! “These are everyday house pets! Cats galore, cuddly canines, and even brilliantly colored exotic birds who put on a show that delight’s all ages. Well-respected animal trainer, Valery Tsoraev, has created a delightful line-up of animal acrobatics and tricks, and has performed with the famous Cole Bros. Circus of the Stars as well as being featured with one of his incredible cats in the movie, Big Fish. “He has cared for these beautiful creatures, including cats adopted from shelters and those that have simply wandered into his life, and taught them how to entertain and enjoy the affection and encouragement from their human co-stars and their adoring audiences.”

Featured Limited Engagement of the Month: Rockapella, formed in the mid-80’s, is pretty much the group who wrote the book on making music without instruments. They expertly deliver original compositions, Motown classics, pop, and soul music, all without the aid of the usual guitar, bass, keyboard, and drums making all the sounds themselves. They have enjoyed a phenomenal career since their inception and introduction “to a broad audience on Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego, an incredibly popular PBS show in the 90’s.” Those loving a cappella music will not want to miss the opportunity to experience Rockapella while it’s in Branson for a 25 performance limited engagement, starting on June 13.

Featured Event of the Month: Silver Dollar City Star Spangled Summer Festival, starting June 11 will feature the return of The Harlem Globetrotters, celebrating their 90th Anniversary, The Magic of Peter Gossamer – Up Close & Personal, Championship Cloggers, Meet and Greets and Breakfasts with kid’s favorite cartoon characters, and much more. Of course, all this will be in addition to the other 40 rides, attractions, activities, and excitement one would expect from a world class theme park including “the world’s most daring wood coaster – Outlaw Run.”

Three fascinating ways you’ll conquer the winter blues in Branson!

Branson's Hilton Convention Center Hotel is just one of the many ways you can pamper yourself and escape the Winter Blues in Branson.

Branson’s Hilton Convention Center Hotel is just one of the many ways you can pamper yourself and escape the Winter Blues in Branson.

“Call it what you will, post-Christmas blues, holiday blues, or one of the many other names for feeling melancholy this time of year, but many suffer a bout with the blues soon after the Christmas holiday season,” said Annette Wood, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Branson Tourism Center. “An article entitled Got The Post-Holiday Blues? Here’s How To Beat ‘Em by Catherine Pearson, published in the Huffington Post on January 3, 2016, suggests that one thing people can do to help beat the blues is to ‘Get their pamper on’ by giving themselves a break,” she added. What better way to pamper yourself and take a break than an enjoyable getaway to Branson, Missouri? Let’s take a look at three ways Branson can help you relax, have fun, and ease those winter blues:

1. Relaxing Accommodations: From the quiet and soothing comfort of the Welk Resort, with its award-winning landscaped grounds, and its separate 10,000-square-foot Splash-A-Torium, to the luxury of the Branson’s Hilton Convention Center Hotel overlooking Branson Landing and Lake Taneycomo, to the dozens of other hotels, motels, cabins, and condos, Branson offers a wide choice and variety of accommodations in which to relax and pamper yourself to your heart’s delight.

2.Shopping: How about easing those winter blues with a little shopping therapy? With hundreds of places to shop, Branson is a shopper’s paradise just about any time of year, but even more so during the slower-paced winter season. It’s hard to beat the reduced prices on clothing, housewares, designer shoes, gifts, luggage, and other unique merchandise at Tanger Outlets or The Shoppes at Branson Meadows. Add a unique assortment of flea markets, craft shops, boutiques, art galleries, local eateries, and other specialty shops, including the famous Dick’s 5 & 10, and Branson Landing’s department stores, galleries, and shops, along with lakefront dining establishments, and it’s hard to imagine a better shopping experience than that available in Branson!

3. Fun, Adventure, and Entertainment: Whether in the chill of winter or the heat of summer, Branson offers an unrivaled choice of activities and entertainment, like shows, attractions, museums, scenic walking trails, and so much more. An evening at Grand Jubilee, with the vocals of Jackie Brown, the harmonies of the New South Quartet, the sound of the Grand Band, and comedy courtesy of the multi-talented Jamie Haage, aka Jim Dandy, or an exciting “voyage” aboard the Titanic Museum Attraction as it celebrates its tenth year in Branson, are just a couple of the many fun, adventurous, and entertaining ways to escape the winter blues in Branson.

All it takes to plan your Branson escape is one toll-free phone call to the Branson Tourism Center, and talking with one of their Branson-based Travel Planners who will be delighted to assist you in planning the perfect Branson getaway. BTC can be reached by calling 1-800-785-1550 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 PM seven days a week, or through its website www.BransonTourismCenter.com.

Don’t you and your family deserve a Grand Branson lodging experience?

Grand Plaza Hotel from Branson Strip

Someone a lot smarter than this writer said, “Your choice of where you stay when you travel will have a direct impact on the quality of that travel experience.” Over the past 13 years, along with selling over 4.5 million Branson show and attraction tickets, the Branson Tourism Center has sold hundreds of thousands of room nights to Branson visitors. The Grand Plaza Hotel has been a consistent favorite with its customers.

With 200 luxurious and comfortable rooms, an excellent location, value, family-friendly amenities, and variety of accommodations, the Grand Plaza Hotel is a great choice for families, groups, or business travelers. In terms of its location, it’s the perfect illustration of the term “location, location, location.” Its central location, about a block north of the center of the famed “Branson Strip,” provides its guests with the best of both worlds; the quiet of not being directly on the strip, while being just a block away, along with easy access to Branson’s alternate colored routes, and less trafficked routes to Silver Dollar City, Branson Landing, Dixie Stampede, Legends in Concert, and other big attractions.

One of Branson’s largest and most popular discount factory outlet malls, Tanger Outlets, is located within walking distance. The Kings Castle Theatre, home of some of Branson’s most popular shows, including the Dublin’s Irish Tenors & The Celtic Ladies, Puttin’ on the Ritz, New Jersey Nights, Spirit of the Dance, and Christmas Wonderland, is also within easy walking distance.

The Honeysuckle Inn & Conference Center (Inn) is a locally owned and operated hotel and conference center that has been serving Branson visitors for over 20 years. It’s known for its Ozarks hospitality and the quality of the facility.

Earlier this week, the Branson Tourism Center (BTC), interviewed Kristine Maples (KM), the Co-Manager of the Inn about what they have to offer Branson visitors. The results of that interview are very enlightening and are presented below in a Q & A format:

BTC: How many rooms does the Honeysuckle Inn & Conference Center have?
KM: 206

BTC: Is the Inn open year round?
KM: Yes

BTC: What are the major types of rooms you have?
KM: The majority of our rooms are Two Queen Bed and Single King rooms. We also have some King Comfort, which have a single king bed, but are larger than our Single King rooms and Queen Jacuzzi rooms.

BTC: Do you have an outdoor pool?

BTC: Are you a smoke-free facility?
KM: Yes.

BTC: Do you permit pets?
KM: No.

KM: Yes, we have a complimentary computer and printer for our guests to use.

BTC: What room amenities do you offer?
KM: Just about anything you would expect in a hotel room including free internet, hair dryers, cable TV, coffee makers, etc. We also have free coffee and cookies in the lobby during its hours of operation.

BTC: Do your rooms have microwave ovens in them?
KM: No, but there is a microwave available in the Guest Laundry Room.

BTC: Why should someone on vacation in Branson pick the Honeysuckle Inn and Conference Center?
KM: We have been serving Branson visitors for over 20 years, and are a locally owned, family oriented hotel that is clean, friendly, safe, and has a staff that is always willing to give that little bit extra for our customers.

BTC: How do you maintain quality control when cleaning rooms?
KM: First the Housekeepers, who are very good at what they do, clean the room. Then the room is inspected by the Head Housekeeper to ensure it meets our standards. If it doesn’t then the process is repeated until it does. The end result is a clean room that we are proud to offer our guests.

BTC: What kind of breakfast do you serve?
KM: We serve a hot continental style breakfast including biscuits and gravy, sausage, boiled eggs, make-your-own waffles, cereal, breads, and more.

BTC: Is there a fee to park?
KM: No.

BTC: Of all the amenities your property offers, what is your personal favorite?
KM: Our combination of a large separate outdoor pool and the indoor pool because it permits our guests, absent lightening, to enjoy a pool in just about any weather. They are also something our guests really use and enjoy.

BTC: How are you set up to handle conferences and groups?
KM: We have two different rooms for conferences and groups. One is a room for small conferences, groups, and family reunions which can comfortably handle about 24 in a social setting. Our large conference room can accommodate up to 120 with theatre style seating, and about 80 in a social setting. It has a kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, and counters. We also offer onsite catering, audiovisual aids, and just about anything else needed to have a successful meeting, conference, or reunion.

BTC: What do you think about the location of the Inn?
KM: Its location on Branson’s Red Route, near its western intersection with Highway 76, is ideal for getting to and from the Inn and just about anywhere else in Branson one would want to go using an alternate route to avoid Highway 76, and yet, we are seconds away from it when you want to use it. We are within walking distance of the IMAX Complex, and near the Shoji Tabuchi, Pierce Arrow, and Hamner theatres, and numerous restaurants including Golden Corral, Red Lobster, Casa Fuentes, and many more.

BTC: Is there anything else you would like our readers to know about the Honeysuckle Inn?
KM: Although we are located right off a major road, our hotel is set back from the road amid four and a half beautifully landscaped acres, providing our guests with a quiet, relaxing lodging experience, including our unique water garden located near the porch by the lobby.

BTC: Is the Honeysuckle Inn and Conference Center a member of Branson Tourism Center’s Lowest Rate Lock Program, and what does that mean?
KM: Yes. It means that we work in conjunction with BTC in guaranteeing that the price our guests pay for lodging through BTC will be the lowest rate available. If they find a lower price offered for the same room on the same dates anytime between when they book their room and when they arrive in Branson, BTC will match the lower rate.

When Genesis Oltjenbrun, Sales Manager for Branson’s Residence Inn Marriott (Inn) was asked what one thing she would want to emphasize about why families should stay at the Inn, without hesitation, she said, “Our wonderful staff that treats you like family.” It resonated with me because it was exactly what I had found during my recent eight day stay at the Inn while tile was being laid in my house. From the front desk, to housekeeping, maintenance and the ladies who served breakfast and handled the social hour, the staff was just amazing in terms of their friendliness, hospitality and “how can I help you attitude.”

Did you know that Branson is one of the top two value cities in America?

Branson's Raddison Hotel

                          Branson’s Radisson Hotel

On Nov. 11, Samantha Fanelli Public Relations US for trivago.com announced that, as a result of their analysis of lodging costs in cities across America, Branson is one of “the 50 Best Value Cities for the coming year.” Among other things, one of the primary areas of analysis was “the annual average price of a standard double room.”

An examination of the complete list has even better news for travelers considering Branson in their 2015 vacation or travel plans. Not only is it on the list, but it is number two out of the 50 listed. “What a great testimony as to the value Branson visitors get,” said Tammy Johnson, the General Manager for the Branson Tourism Center, one of Branson’s largest and most respected providers of Branson lodging as well as show and attractions tickets. Johnson, who has over 30 years’ experience in Branson’s Tourism industry, 12 of them as the General Manager for Branson’s Radisson Hotel, went on to say that the lodging value Branson visitors get is just part of the great value Branson offers across the board.

The beautiful Welk Resort

Not only is Branson a great value in terms of the prices charged for its lodging, shows and attractions, but that it provides a vacation experience not available anywhere else. In addition to its world renowned live shows, it has dozens of attractions from the international award winning 1880s styled theme park Silver Dollar City to the Titanic Museum Attraction, the National Tiger Sanctuary, Hollywood Wax Museum and many more all surrounded by the beauty of the Ozark Mountains and within minutes of the 43,000 plus acre Table Rock Lake, championship golf and a proverbial “shoppers paradise.”

Johnson said that a great lodging value can become even a better value. She points out that when you buy your lodging though a travel provider such as the Branson Tourism Center, along with your show and attraction tickets, in a “bundle” or “package,” you can save even more. She adds, “The vacation time you will spend with your family is priceless, but isn’t it great to know that, in addition to its value, Branson, Missouri is a special place you can share with your family, have a great vacation and create special memories that could last a lifetime?”
