Treasure hunting in Branson

As one of the top shopping destinations in the country, Branson is a treasure trove of great values, specialty merchandise and traditional Ozark country crafts. Collectible hunters have been coming to the Branson area for many years—drawn by the incredible array of unique shops and one-of-a-kind items. Since the advent of area outlet malls, shopping has become one of he most popular activities in the Branson/Lakes Area.

So, put on those walking shoes and get ready to enjoy some of the best shopping anywhere in the country!

HISTORIC DOWNTOWN BRANSON
Historic Downtown Branson is a picture postcard of a small town, a dime store, sidewalk benches and friendly greetings. In Branson, a visit to downtown is the ideal get-away from all the hustle and bustle of the strip. More than 100 independently owned shops and businesses create a very special atmosphere for visitors of all ages. The shops are open seven days a week.

Dick's Oldtime 5 & 10 and Branson Mercantile are popular destinations filled with unique items and bargains galore. Other highlights include Bee Discount, Main Street Jewelry, Mountain Man Nut and Fruit, the Reish Shoe Store, Patricia's House, Ivy Rose and Brier Rose and the Kendall Company.

Downtown Branson has more than 20 historic sites and visitors can take a self-guided map tour. Pick up a map at the Downtown Branson Mainstreet Association at 119 W Pacific Street.

Because entertainment provides a thread through all of Branson's business, even the restaurants get into the act. Shoppers needing to take a break will find the downtown area also has wonderful dining establishments that feature traditional food amidst a delightful ambiance.

OUTLET MALLS
Branson is home to three outlet malls where shoppers can expect to save 25-65 percent on a huge selection of name brand merchandise.

Tanger Outlet Center, located on Highway 76 across from the Andy Williams Moon River Theatre, is home to more than 60 stores, two eateries and full customer service facilities.

Factory Merchants Branson (also known as the Red Roof Mall) offers more than 90 shops, including fashions for the entire family, luggage, shoes housewares, accessories and a host of specialty stores.

Factory Shoppes of America in Branson Meadows boasts more than 40 nationally recognized outlets housed in Victorian-style architecture. This outlet center offers clothing, shoes, specialty items and house wares.

SPECIALTY SHOPS
Specialty shops of every style and description are located all over Branson. The Grand Village is a great place to start. The outdoor shopping center consists of distinctive specialty stores and restaurants all set on quaint cobblestone streets.

Visitors can browse 26 stores and find everything from Christmas decor, Victorian jewelry and books to fine art.

At the Victorian Village shoppers will find a wide range of popular collectibles, specialty items and unique gift selections. This charming shopping area, located on Shepherd of the Hills Expressway is a collector's dream.

Grand Country Square (formerly known as 76 Mall) features country treats, good things to eat, souvenirs, clothing and an extensive collection of gifts. The mall, located on West Highway 76, also offers indoor miniature golf and a music show.

The Ozarks Discovery IMAX® Theater mall, offers shoppers specialty clothing, housewares, and many selected gifts from a variety of sources. Shopping is a perfect way to spend time while waiting for one of the spectacular IMAX films to begin.

The Branson Mall, located in the heart of the strip features Wal-Mart, a Nowells grocery store and several additional stores inside its center court. The mall also features nationally recognized retailers, restaurants and a theater.

CRAFTS
A remarkable community of craftspeople can be found at Silver Dollar City where more than 100 demonstrating craftsman allow visitors to see artists at work. Glass blowers, basket weavers, potters and a variety of artisans can be found at locations throughout the park.

The Engler Block, located on Highway 76, offers a unique community of crafters and lots of wonderful Ozark crafts sure to become family heirlooms.

Crafts can be found throughout the area at malls, specialty stores, theater gift shops and even some restaurants. Branson's traditional crafts are treasures that can become family heirlooms.

To many, shopping is as much an entertainment experience as seeing a show. Branson has the shopping facilities to ensure no one need go home empty handed.
