Ozark Mountain Christmas - a spectacular celebration of the traditional American Christmas

When Tammy Johnson, the Director of Operations for the Branson Tourism Center, was asked, "What exactly is ‘Ozark Mountain Christmas?" last year, she gave an answer that is as unique and timeless as the event itself. She said, "It’s not just one thing. It is a unique Branson wide celebration of the true spirit of a traditional American Christmas that has been celebrated for over two decades."

Branson’s Veterans Homecoming Week Honors Veterans, active duty Military and their families

"The honoring of Veterans, active duty Armed Forces personnel and their families is an inherent element of the Branson spirit of God, Country and Family that makes Branson the wonderful place to live and visit," said Stephanie Milton, Director of Special Events for the Branson Tourism Center. "Branson’s seven day ’Veterans Homecoming Week,’ running from November 5 through November 11," is Americas largest Veterans Day celebration and is filled with events and activities honoring America’s Veterans, active duty Armed Forces personnel and their families." she continued.

Sneak preview of Branson’s newest show, "Christmas With the Lennon Sisters"

During a visit to Branson Tourism Center today, the Lennon Sisters, Kathy, Janet and Mimi took a moment to discuss their new Christmas show, "Christmas with the Lennon Sisters." Lodging can be the difference in having a great travel experience

Whether it’s in Branson, Missouri; Lahina, Hawaii; Las Vegas, Nevada or anywhere else, where do you normally start and end just about every day you are on a trip vacation, business, or otherwise? Isn’t it in your hotel, motel or resort room or suite? Most of us can testify as to how our choice of lodging impacted, either positively or negatively, on an overall trip experience.

Fall foliage is one of the best shows in Branson

It’s a beautiful thing to see as the first blush of color starts to paint the foliage covering the beautiful Ozarks. That first blush gradually paints the entire Ozarks with the colors of fall, one leaf at a time. Although this year’s color might not be as spectacular as some in the past, on any year it is a beautiful sight to see and experience providing one of the best shows in Branson.

It’s no duck waddle as Titanic’s Molly and Carter promenade daily at Noon sharp

A well known national hotel has a daily "duck march" at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. every day, with five ducks waddling along a red carpet to and from its lobby fountain. Well, in Branson, Missouri, when the whistle of the Titanic Museum Attraction blows at Noon each day, "Molly" and "Carter", two adorable and cuddly King Charles Spaniels, come around the bow of the great ship with their handler and one of the Titanic’s crew as they promenade down the winding walkway and past the waterfall to the iceberg by the attractions entrance where they "greet" the ships guests and pose for pictures.

What came first "Branson" or the "city of Branson?"

The name "Branson," as used to refer to an international tourist destination people have been coming to for over a century and the city of "Branson," comes from the name of its first post office. The post office was inside a general store located near the mouth of Roark Creek and the White River. It was named after Ruben S. Branson who established the store at that location in 1882. The city of Branson was not incorporated until April 1, 1912.
