Winery Description

Mount Pleasant Winery    Mount Pleasant Winery    Mount Pleasant Winery

Mount Pleasant Winery was established in 1859, and is located in the heart of the Augusta Appellation wine district, the first in the United States, founded in 1980. Napa Valley was the second in 1983.

We have more than 85 acres of grapevines producing on our land, where we grow Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay, and have been since the late ’80s. Our goal is to reach the hundred-acre plateau.

Our wine has literally spanned the globe. It’s been served in Europe, Asia, South America, Oceania and right here in Augusta. Tipper Gore, wife of the inventor of the Internet, mentions our Les Copains Chardonnay as a personal favorite. And she’s not alone. Our wines continue to win numerous national and international awards. In fact, we’re quite proud of not just our reds and whites, but also our golds and silvers. And we think you’ll enjoy them too.

Our location in Branson is more than just a terrific place to enjoy great wines. It is a wine shop, art gallery and hands-on bottling experience all rolled into one. In addition to touring the facility and tasting award-winning wines, visitors to the Branson winery have the unique opportunity to bottle their own dessert wine from a specially designed 600-gallon French oak barrel. The winery is open year round from 8:30 am to Dusk Monday - Saturday and 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Sunday.

Wine 101 Class Includes:

Enjoy the art of sipping several wines. Learn the "S" rules of wine tasting, See, Swirl, Sniff, Sip, and Swallow. The class also includes Cheese & Chocolate Pairings, a 150th Annivaersary Souvenir Wine Goblet, Opportunity to Bottled Your Own Wine, and a chance to browse the wineries unique art galleries. Class is 90 minutes in length.
